Thanks for posting this - saw this on e-bay a couple of weeks ago but didn't bother bidding for it as i know the original source was a couple of traveller types who used to record a lot of gigs down here on the south coast, most of which were of very questionable quality as they were done using just fairly standard recording equipment & having just listened to this i now know that i was right. When i saw that the e-bay write up said it was "professinally recorded" i did have to laugh!! Also, i have an extensive archive of recordings of the band myself anyway which were taken directly from the soundboard which is possibly second only to the archive of Marcus Stott the original 'Dusters Banjo player. Having said all that, it is nice to hear this as i have not got this one & it brings back happy memories & i was really impressed with the artwork that you did for this bootleg, so nice one mate! Also, track 5's full title is 'Chicken Train',track 7 is the bands version of 'Song For The Lonesome Boatman' - track 16 is actually called 'The Ballad Of Nogger Sprocket' & the manic Hoedown at the end of 'The Lady Next Door' is a version of the Bluegrass classic 'Foggy Mountain Breakdown'.By the way, I am Spike, the drummer in the reformed line up of the band but at the time of this recording i was just a wide eyed schoolboy roadie!! Love your blog - keep up the good work.
