Este sampler incluye 2 bandas que ya aparecieron en recopilatorios del año pasado, Boggin Leprechaun y Como Lake Rovers. Estas bandas están de actualidad por haber sacado recientemente sus nuevos trabajos. El resto de bandas son dos grupos nacionales nuevos y una banda holandesa con varios trabajos en el mercado.

1) The Fatty Farmers

Esta banda es la nueva sensación de la escena nacional. Vienen desde Toledo y hacen un punk celta a lo Flogging Molly. Habrá quien dirá que son una copia de esa banda californiana. También Greenland Whalefishers o The Mahones eran una copia de los Pogues y mirad a donde han llegado. Por lo tanto, escucharlos, disfrutarlos y seguro que saben evolucionar como lo han hecho otras bandas. Gracias a Pitxe de Brutus' Daughters por dármelos a conocer.

2) Como Lake Rovers

Como Lake Rovers han publicado su album de debut, "Friday Night", en el que aparte de tres temas de su maketa aparecen nuevas canciones. El album se abre con "Morrison Beer", la jiga de Morrison que ya han grabado varias bandas nacionales como Luar Na Lubre, Celtas Cortos o Sorotan Bele, y luego aparecen los dos temas que recogemos aquí.

4) The Old Firm

The Old Firm son un trío de Zeeland, en Holanda. Al principio hacían temas tradicionales escoceses e irlandeses, aparte de versiones de otras bandas. Posteriormente pasaron a escribir sus propios temas.

El nombre de la banda hace referencia al clásico del fútbol escocés, Glasgow Rangers contra Celtics de Glasgow. Parece ser que solían tocar con un para de escoceses y cada uno de ellos era aficionado a uno de esos dos equipos.
